Why Hua Hin?
Hua Hin in Thailand is a city with a population of around 40,000 people and a popular destination for hundreds of thousands of vacationers each year. The city is especially popular among Scandinavians and other European nationalities with families and for the elderly with a wish for spending their golden years in a sunny and peaceful environment. Here it is almost always hot with a temperature of 30-35 degrees Celsius all year long. The high temperature is different from what we know from Europe as the humidity is quite high meaning a more pleasant form of heat. As Hua Hin is located at the sea it also benefits from the nice and chilling ocean breezes coming in during the day.
Hua Hin is one of the best places in Asia to have your second home as the city has something of everything. As the city is visited by many tourists each year we of course also have the many comforts we know and depend of in Europe. That means that high-speed Internet, satellite TV, imported good and good steak houses are a part of everyday life in Hua Hin. All this comes together as a bigger whole and combined with the Thai charm, the friendly smiles and the beautiful weather makes Hua Hin an incredible place to live.

Hua Hin is also a very popular golf destination as the city houses no less than 9 world class golf courses in tropical surroundings. So if you enjoy a round of golf this is surely the place for you to be.
 As Hua Hin is located at the coast of Thailand the city of course also provides you with wonderful beautiful white sandy beached for you to enjoy all year long. The beach is perfect for a relaxing afternoon taking in the sun but the many activities such as jet-skis, kite-surfing and horseback riding are also widely available making sure that there is enough to keep you busy.
Close to the big city
Hua Hin is located around 200km south of Bangkok, the city that houses around 10 million people in a dense area making it a true metropolis. Bangkok is the home to exiting shopping opportunities and wild and crazy nights out. Bangkok also houses some beautiful must-see temples and other sacred places. The trip to Bangkok takes around 2 hours by car.
The safety of Hua Hin
Hua Hin is the home of His Majesty The Kings summer residence so the security in Hua Hin is a lot better than other tourist destinations in Thailand. Street robberies and violence against tourists is almost unheard of in Hua Hin.
The nightlife of Hua Hin
Hua Hin is not as busy during the nighttime as the alternatives of Phuket and Pattaya as Hua Hin is a whole lot smaller but also due to the fact that Hua Hin attracts different clientel than the before mentioned. Hua Hin is first and foremost a family destination and the activities here a created to fit this clientel. That said, there should be enough options for most people to have a colorful night out as the city houses numerous bars and restaurants. We even have a few discotheques here. Most of the city will close down at 2am according to Thai law but for the ones that wishes to carry on after this, small karaoke places are widely available and will be open until morning time.
Although drinking and partying is available in Hua Hin it is not a dominating factor as it is in many other tourist destinations. This is one of the reasons why we love Hua Hin.
